Despite this, she has defied the odds, demonstrating that her creativity, resilience, and talent are not defined by her health status.

Born and raised in USAID Estate, Kisumu, Michelle has channeled her passion for film into storytelling that creates awareness about sickle cell disease. Through her work, she continues to inspire others living with the condition, using film as a powerful tool for advocacy, awareness, and empowerment, in collaboration with the KFCB. Ms. Muluka commended Michelle for her courage, resilience, and dedication to her craft, encouraging her to continue producing impactful stories that not only raise awareness but also create income-generating opportunities.

She further reiterated KFCB's commitment to fostering a facilitative and inclusive environment for all creatives, aimed at promoting job creation and sustainable livelihoods within the film and creative industry. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, KFCB donated foodstuffs and other essential consumable items to Michelle, who was accompanied by her mother during the visit.
