KFCB Hosts World Scout Parliamentary Union Officials for Enhanced Strategic Partnership

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) team, led by the Ag. Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Nelly Muluka, on September 18, 2026, hosted officials from the World Scout Parliamentary Union (WSPU-Kenya), led by the Executive Director, Mr. Poppins Misoi, to explore strategies for enhancing partnership between the two entities, safeguarding consumers of audiovisual content and empowering young creatives to harness opportunities in the creative sector.

The discussions also focused on collaboration in the upcoming Nyeri Guide and Scout City Activation and World Tourism Day 2026 Celebrations, scheduled for September 25th and 26th, 2026, in Nyeri County.

The Ag. CEO reaffirmed KFCB’s commitment to working with like-minded stakeholders to create a facilitative regulatory environment that supports the growth of the audiovisual sector, talent monetisation, protection of minors against inappropriate content, job opportunities, and wealth creation, in line with Government development blueprints.

Mr Misoi acknowledged the long-standing relationship between KFCB and WSPU-Kenya and emphasised the importance of strengthening the partnership to advance shared objectives.
