Kalasha 2026 Nominees Unveiled with KFCB on the Jury Panel
The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB), on Wednesday, 25th March 2026, participated in the unveiling of nominees for the 14 th Edition of the Kalasha International Film and Television Awards, with representation on the jury panel that conducted a rigorous evaluation of submissions from across the industry.
Key thematic areas explored by filmmakers included gender-based violence, female genital mutilation, urban life, and love and relationships—underscoring strong social consciousness and depth in storytelling.

The nominees also highlighted emerging industry trends, notably the integration of artificial intelligence in film production, alongside a growing diversity in genres and narrative techniques.
As the regulator of audio-visual content in the country, KFCB reaffirms its commitment to fostering the growth of the film industry through facilitative regulation and enhanced stakeholder collaboration.
