PS Fikirini Jacobs Leads Agencies in Key Meeting with Parliamentary Committee on Sports and Culture

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) team led by Ag. CEO Ms. Nelly Muluka on 19 th March 2026, joined the Principal Secretary, State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy, Mr. Fikirini Jacobs, alongside representatives from other agencies under the State Department, who appeared before the National Assembly of Kenya’s Departmental Committee on Sports and Culture.
The session was convened by the Committee to consider the Supplementary Budget Estimates for the Financial Year 2025/2026.

KFCB is a State agency under the State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy, mandated to regulate film and broadcast content in the country. The key objective of this regulation is to protect children and vulnerable adults from exposure to inappropriate audio-visual content.
