KFCB Empowers Young Creators at Toto Kreatives Festival 2025

On 9th December 2025, young creators lit up the stage at the ‘Toto Kreatives’ Festival 2025, where the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) joined Mtoto News and other stakeholders in empowering the next generation of creatives and digital storytellers.
During the forum organized by Mtoto News, KFCB officers led by Ms. Faridah Masai, Senior Classification Officer, actively engaged the budding creatives, offering insights into the Board’s mandate and why content regulation remains essential in today’s evolving film and landscape.

The team further explained the content classification process, the significance of age-ratings, and shared practical guidance on how young creators can safely navigate the digital and broadcast ecosystem.
With learners currently at home for the December holidays, KFCB used the opportunity to urge parents and caregivers to stay vigilant by monitoring the audio-visual content children consume across media platforms, ensuring they are guided towards safe and age-appropriate content.
