KFCB Donates Sanitary Towels and Bar Soaps at “Super Sato Changamshaa Mtaa” Event
The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB), through its Nyanza Regional Office, led by the regional head, Mr. Emmanuel Mbutu, on Saturday, 20th December 2025, donated sanitary towels and bar soaps to participants during the Super Sato Changamshaa Mtaa event held at Manyatta Gonda Grounds, Kisumu County.
The donation was made in line with the Board’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy, which is geared towards giving back to the community.

While handing over the donation on behalf of the Board, Mr. Mbutu took the opportunity to sensitise participants on the mandate of KFCB and emphasised the collective responsibility of protecting children from exposure to harmful film and broadcast content.
He further explained the content classification process, age ratings, and the importance of promoting safe and age-appropriate content for children. He urged parents to remain vigilant about what their children watch, especially during the December holiday period when learners are at home.

Speaking at the same event, the Kisumu County CEC in charge of Sports, Culture, and Youth Affairs, Ms. Beatrice Adongo, applauded KFCB for its commendable work in providing platforms for young people to showcase their artistic talents, noting that such initiatives are crucial for talent identification and nurturing.
The CEO of Manyatta Youth Resource Centre, Mr. Obala, expressed gratitude to the Board for its unwavering support through partnerships, particularly in sensitising children and youth to the dangers of consuming harmful content.
