𝐊𝐅𝐂𝐁 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐬 𝐎𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB), a State Corporation under the State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy, and Praesidio Safeguarding, an international organisation dedicated to strengthening child protection systems and preventing online child sexual exploitation and abuse (OCSEA),have agreed to explore strategic areas of collaboration to advance child online safety in Kenya.

Some areas of interest include promoting digital literacy, responsible content consumption, and online child protection, among others.

During a high-level consultative meeting held on June 26, 2026, the KFCB Ag. CEO, Ms. Nelly Muluka, hosted Praesidio Safeguarding delegation, led by Ms. Zoe Colpaert, Head of Production, and Mr. Paul Phillips, Head of Strategy, who are championing the programme across Africa.

Ms. Muluka reaffirmed KFCB's commitment to fostering a collaborative ecosystem that ensures children access safe, age-appropriate, and beneficial content.

On their part, the Praesidio Safeguarding team, lauded KFCB for promoting child online safety through digital literacy and responsible content consumption.
