Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) officers from the North Rift Regional Office represented the Board during the commemoration of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (#WDoR2025), held on Sunday, 16th November 2025, in Eldoret City. The event was organized by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) in collaboration with other key stakeholders.
The World Day of Remembrance, established by the UN General Assembly, provides a solemn opportunity to reflect on the devastating impact of road traffic crashes and to honour victims, survivors, and affected families.
Guided by the global theme “Remember! Support! Act”, #WDoR2025 aimed to pay tribute to lives lost on the roads, acknowledge survivors, and raise awareness on the critical need for enhanced road safety - especially as the festive season approaches, a period typically marked by increased travel and heightened risk.

In line with the Whole-of-Government Approach (WAGA), KFCB continues to support awareness creation on programmes and campaigns that encourage responsible and safe road use.
The Board’s participation in this year’s commemoration reaffirms its commitment to supporting the implementation of the National Road Safety Action Plan (NRSAP) 2024–2028. The Plan calls for a multi-agency approach to reduce road deaths and serious injuries by 50% by 2030, in alignment with the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety.
