KFCB Explores Collaboration with SOS Children’s Villages to Strengthen Digital Parenting Awareness & Child Online Safety

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB), a State Corporation in the State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy , has initiated discussions with SOS Children's Villages Kenya on a strategic partnership under the Board’s Parents Digital Literacy (PADiL) Programme, an initiative designed to equip parents, guardians, and caregivers with practical digital parenting skills and enhance awareness of online risks facing children.

During a meeting held on Tuesday, 23 June 2026, at the SOS Children's Villages in Nairobi, representatives from the two entities agreed to develop a framework that will result in a joint consumer awareness sensitization drive targeting parents and caregivers as to strengthen their capacity to guide children in safe media consumption and responsible digital engagement in an increasingly connected world.
