Film Distributors and Exhibitors Licence

The Kenya Film Classification Board is mandated by the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap222 of the Laws of Kenya to regulate the creation, broadcasting, possession, distribution and exhibition of film and broadcast content to ensure that content conforms to Kenya's culture, moral values and national aspirations as well as to protect children from exposure to harmful content.

The Board is also mandated to issue licences to local and international filmmakers, agents, distributors and exhibitors.

Distributors and Exhibitors' licences are issued to: Video Shops, Video Library Shops, Online Distributors, Cinema Theatres, Outdoor Exhibitors, Video Shows and Play Station operators.
