KFCB Hosts UK-Based Olsberg SPI Ltd Executive Chair 

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Management, led by the Corporate Communications Manager, Ms. Nelly Muluka, today 28th March 2024, hosted Mr. Jonathan Olsberg, the Executive Chair of the Olsberg SPI Ltd who paid a courtesy call on the Board. 

Olsberg SPI is a United Kingdom-based international creative industry consultancy, which specializes in the global screen sector and provides expert strategic advisory services to the public and private sectors.

Mr. Jonathan Olsberg, who was accompanied by Mr. Ezekiel Onyango, the Country Lead Kenya for Olsberg SPI, sought to understand the Board's regulatory mandate, as well as explore areas of possible partnership.

Olsberg was taken through the Board’s regulatory mandate, filming requirements as well as programs the Board is implementing to create a facilitative regulatory environment towards spurring the growth of Kenya's Creative Economy.

KFCB is the State regulatory agency under the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports, mandated by the Films and Stage Plays Act, Cap 222 of the Laws of Kenya to regulate film and broadcast content with the aim of protecting children from exposure to inappropriate content, as well as to ensure that all content exhibited to the public in Kenya conforms to Kenya's culture, moral values and National aspirations.
